We’re back…
July 1st, 2008 by Pastor | Filed under Pastor, Prayer Requests. My wife and I want to thank all of you for praying for us on our little trip to North Carolina. God graciously protected us and gave us a wonderful time with my extended family. Thanks again to Brother Mark Leatherman for preaching and to the Deacons and others who made this past Lord’s Day a good day.
I saw Randy Ward at Winchester Hospital this morning, and he is doing well. The doctors are treating the pneumonia, and his kidney “numbers” are better than they have been since the beginning of this situation. Continue to pray for him and for Bonnie.
Thanks again and God bless. It sure is good to be back home.

Hello Everyone
Hello our Family at Grace
I would just like to take a minute to thank everyone at Grace who
has prayed and still praying for me. I love so much to get cards from the lovely ladies at Grace. I know Eric and I do not get to see you much which is why I think it is so wonderful that you still think of us and especially me during my trials of many illnesses. I know that is why God is blessing me with my health (kidney disease) at this point. I had several calls today from the ladies asking about my upcoming surgery. This has nothing to do with the kidney disease at all which seems odd since that is what you guys usually hear when I am ill. My kidney’s by the work of the Lord are doing excellent. ALso I just have to let everyone know who prayed for my sister Becky who just received the kidney transplant that she is doing well and will return to work on Sept 18 Lord willing. That is the 3 month mark of her transplant. BUt I wanted to let everyone know that my reason for surgery is just a freak thing just like Randy’s as well. I had several questions today so I just wanted to explain what was going to happen. I had mastoiditis and they are going to drill thru my mastoid bone (bone behind our ears) and put in a tube to my inner ear to drain the inflammation and injection because the antibiotics are not able to take care of the infection alone. I also have a deviated septum which most people who played sports in school do and so while I am in the OR they just want to repair it to cause this could be the cause of the infection.
Secondly to give a report on Randy, He is going in tomorrow to have a pic line (permenant Iv access line) inserted so that he can do home IV’s and will not have to go to the hospital or have home health come in. He will take them every day for 4-6 weeks and go to the doctor once a week to have tubing and so forth changed. He has been running a low grade fever which isn’t good with his other illnesses because it makes him have a higher risk for a second infection. He has been out of work the latter part of this week and we aren’t real sure how next week will go but he is hoping to return, we are just putting it in the hands of the Lord and take it a day at a time. Eric and I truely appreciate all the prayers, kind words and caring hands that have helped Randy and Bonnie over the past few months. Even though we live so far away we still hear all about the cards, calls, and prayers. Please continue to do this, he loves to open the mail and see a thoughtful prayer or words of encouragement. I wish that we lived closer so that we could attend church more often we are hoping that the Lord will lead us to a church near us like Grace. But so far that hasn’t happened so pray for us that we will find a Bible family like the family at Grace. Please continue to pray for Randy and I as well as our spouses , cause I think they are about to get tired as well. WHic running to doctors offices, ER, and so forth keep everyone tired. We truely appreciate all that everyone has done for the Ward family.
