Drama Team to Perform Locally
Every twelve seconds – in America – someone is murdered. Could you stop it from happening?
What is Abortion? Is it merely an issue to be debated among politicians? Does God care about the life of the mother? Is there no way out for women who do not want a child? Whose choice is it to end the life of the unborn? Is it really a human yet? Is this simply a debate over simple tissue that can be discarded at a woman’s discretion? What happens to the mother after an abortion? What happens to the unborn child after an abortion? What goes on inside the clinics? Truly, this is an issue about one thing – life.
Come with us, on July 3, 2009 at 7:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, as THE ACADEMY OF ARTS Players tastefully takes us through a portion of a life – the life of Carla, a young college student, as she deals with the “problem” of an “unplanned” pregnancy. Young, unwed, and abandoned by her boyfriend, Carla begins her search for answers to some very difficult questions. You will see scenes taken from the pages of the lives of doctors, nurses, and women all over the country mirrored in Carla’s experiences.
A multimedia, dramatic presentation, The Sanctity of Life, uses scientific facts to answer questions, showing clearly what abortionists try to hide. Your heart will be touched by the gripping story of Carla and life-changing decision she must make.
THE ACADEMY OF ARTS, a professional Christian theatre team from Taylors, SC, employs professional stage lights, music, sound effects, costumes, props, and multi-image techniques to present Biblical, historical and moral themes on stage. The group has been “making the Bible come alive” since 1971. The Sanctity of Life was written by Dr. Nicky Chavers, the founder and director of THE ACADEMY OF ARTS. Grace Baptist Church is located at 1255 Hoover Road in Woodstock, Virginia (off Route 11, just behind the Budget Host Motel.) There is no admission charged and the performance is open to the public. A freewill offering will be received. Performance Time – 7:00 PM.
