2009-11-25 Evan & Carmen Williams Update
This is the latest from our missionaries to Honduras, Evan & Carmen Williams…
Greetings in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a joy to be able to write to you all in order to thank you once more for your faithful support and prayers.
As we continue to reach out to the residents of Santa Lucia and the surrounding area, God continues to bless. This week we made contact with two mothers who have agreed to send their children to our Sunday school. We are praying that through this outreach we will eventually get the parents in also.
Unfortunately this following Sunday the Government has banned all public gatherings, including churches, due to the general elections. Please pray for Honduras at this time, that stability might be restored and that the people might be reunited. Pray too that those who would want to hinder the democratic process might be stopped in their tracts and that the people will not be intimidated into silence but might make this election one to be remembered, as they have their say in their countries affairs. Pray too that the international community might respect the vote of the people here and lift all sanctions.
As I informed before, this weekend should have been our anniversary services, celebrating the commencement of our church last year. Plans are still in place to celebrate on December 13th. as by then any possible problems caused by the elections should have passed. Pray with us to this end.
The evangelistic bible study on Monday nights, through which we are reaching six new souls, is going well, with everyone seeming to enjoy the meetings. Pray with us that God might open their hearts to accept Christ as their savior. Pray for us also as we leave off one couple that comes, back to their home away up in the mountain behind Santa Lucia. This is the least we can do as they walk down the mountain for an hour and a half, carrying their two year old daughter for most of the way, in order to attend this study, the husband is also blind! As we leave them home we have to travel dirt roads most of the way and they are in bad conditions. This part of our ministry has reinforced the future need for a four wheel vehicle as when the rainy season returns we will not be able to get up there in our two wheel drive mini van. Pray with us that God would keep us safe as we fulfill this duty each week.
May God continue to bless all of you, as you seek to be a witness there. Once more thank you for allowing us to be your co workers for the lost souls in Santa Lucia and for your faithful support.
–
Yours in Him.

FORASMUCH as it is the indispensable Duty of all Men to adore the superintending Providence of
Almighty God; to acknowledge with Gratitude their Obligation to him for Benefits received, and to implore such farther Blessings as they stand in Need of: And it having pleased him in his abundant Mercy, not only to continue to us the innumerable Bounties of his common Providence; but also to smile upon us in the Prosecution of a just and necessary War, for the Defense and Establishment of our unalienable Rights and Liberties; particularly in that he hath been pleased, in so great a Measure, to prosper the Means used for the Support of our Troops, and to crown our Arms with most signal success:
It is therefore recommended to the legislative or executive Powers of these UNITED STATES to set apart THURSDAY, the eighteenth Day of December next, for SOLEMN THANKSGIVING and PRAISE: That at one Time and with one Voice, the good People may express the grateful Feelings of their Hearts, and consecrate themselves to the Service of their Divine Benefactor; and that, together with their sincere Acknowledgments and Offerings, they may join the penitent Confession of their manifold Sins, whereby they had forfeited every Favor; and their humble and earnest Supplication that it may please GOD through the Merits of JESUS CHRIST, mercifully to forgive and blot them out of Remembrance; That it may please him graciously to afford his Blessing on the Governments of these States respectively, and prosper the public Council of the whole: To inspire our Commanders, both by Land and Sea, and all under them, with that Wisdom and Fortitude which may render them fit Instruments, under the Providence of Almighty GOD, to secure for these United States, the greatest of all human Blessings, INDEPENDENCE and PEACE: That it may please him, to prosper the Trade and Manufactures of the People, and the Labor of the Husbandman, that our Land may yield its Increase: To take Schools and Seminaries of Education, so necessary for cultivating the Principles of true Liberty, Virtue and Piety, under his nurturing Hand; and to prosper the Means of Religion, for the promotion and enlargement of that Kingdom, which consisteth “in Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost.”
And it is further recommended, That servile Labor, and such Recreation, as, though at other Times innocent, may be unbecoming the Purpose of this Appointment, be omitted on so solemn an Occasion.
Psalm 100
The 100th Psalm is probably the most well-known Psalm around Thanksgiving time.
Under the “Video” tab are two videos. The first one is of a Christian School class of First Graders (I think) quoting Psalm 100. The second video is an adaptation of “Psalm 100 – All People That On Earth Do Dwell” by the Martins.
Psalms 100
A Psalm of praise.
“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

Planned Parenthood Director Has Change Of Heart
This comes from Brother David Cloud…
Planned Parenthood Director Has Change Of Heart
Abby Johnson stepped down as the director of the Planned Parenthood office in Bryan, Texas, because of a change of heart after watching an ultrasound of an abortion. She said, “I just thought I can’t do this any more, and it was just like a flash that hit me and I thought that’s it” (“Planned Parenthood Leader Resigns,” KBTX News 3, Nov. 2, 2009).
Johnson, who worked for Planned Parenthood for eight years, says, “I feel so pure in heart. I don’t
have this guilt. I don’t have this burden on me anymore. And that’s how I know that this conversion was a spiritual conversion.” Johnson says that Planned Parenthood has focused on “getting more abortions in the door.” She now supports the Coalition for Life and prays for volunteers outside the Planned Parenthood facility. The organization has sued Johnson and Coalition for Life, claiming that they “would be irreparably harmed by the disclosure of certain information.” Indeed, the truth hurts!
