Pastor Dunham’s Background
Pastor Dunham was raised in a Baptist preacher’s home and received Christ at the age of 11. He surrendered to preach at age 21 and attended Baptist Bible College East in Boston, Massachusetts.
He has started churches in New England, and has worked bi-vocationally in the ministry since his ordination in 1985. Before coming to Grace in the Spring of 2005 he managed a Bible Broadcasting Network station in Luray, Virginia.

Preaching & Teaching
Pastor Dunham believes his primary duty is to preach and teach the Word of God. He preaches and teaches expositionally, and he often preaches through a book of the Bible on Sunday & Wednesday evenings.

A Word About Christian Music:
Pastor Dunham believes very strongly that the songs that we sing and the style in which we sing them should glorify God. He is strongly opposed to the well-meaning, but unscriptural use of Contemporary Christian music in church services.
He happily recommends the ministry of Byron Foxx and Bible Truth Music. If you are looking to download good Christian songs for your mp3 player, check out FaithTunes.

I was so glad to receive an email with your church’s expose’ of Oprah’s new church. I had emailed numerous friends YouTube videos of her claims and remarked that she appeared to me to closely resemble the antichrist. I find her scary. She gets people to really like her by giving away so much and helping people so much . . . then she turns on our Savior and begins her on religion. People truly worship her and are caught up in her cult. I pray more Christians will stand up and denounce her for what she is and what she stands for. Praise God for a Church & Pastor such as yours. Keep on. We have been considering possible places to move and at one time considered Edinboro. My husband’s mother was raised in and around Woodstock. I’m glad to know of a Church I would want to be a part of if we moved near there. Thank you for being so bold for Christ.
Pastor,
My family and I are from Harrisonburg. We have been looking for a church since Feb of this year. So far no luck. We are mostly tired of finding churches very unfriendly. We are not part of the “click” so no one will talk to us. Another problem we find is that the churches are not on fire for God.
Please tell me that this church is different. That people are friendly. On fire for God. That you are sending out people from the church to be missionaries. When you preach there are a lot of “amen preacher”. That the youth group is learning doctrine and not holding hands singing “kum ba yah”.
My wife and I feel very alone here in Harrisonburg. We both work, have “friends” at work, but do not have any Christian friends.
Jeff and Goldie
Jeff & Goldie,
First of all, thanks for visiting our site! I believe our church is very friendly, but then, most pastors do.
We try our best to preach the “whole counsel of God” in our services and in our classes.
You knew I was going to say this, but you might try a visit to see for yourself.
If you wish to talk to me privately about any concerns, feel free to email me at pastor@gbcwoodstock.com.
God bless you,
Pastor Art Dunham
