7 Years Ago Today

September 11th, 2008 by Pastor | No Comments | Filed in Patriotic, video

I still remember watching the “Today” program in our house in Vermont the morning of September 11, 2001. I remember hugging my children and wife and crying for our country and for the lives that were now in Eternity.

Below is a video tribute to 9/11. As you know, I am no fan of country music, but Alan Jackson does a good job with the music on this one. As we are embroiled in another presidential campaign, let us remember that:

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
(Psalms 20:7)

Day 2 of VBS

July 30th, 2008 by Pastor | No Comments | Filed in Children's Ministry, video

What a wonderful time we had last night for our second evening of BOOT Camp! God was gracious and brought 65 precious kids to us last night. What a privilege it is to teach these wonderful kids about the Lord Jesus Christ!

We are all excited to see what God will do for us tonight. As the song we sang last night says, “God Is Great!”

Here are two video clips: The first one is Private Meeh doing pushups for being a mess-up.

The second one is Private Where doing pushups because the boys answered more questions.

This is taken from the “Red Skelton Show” from CBS in 1969. Isn’t it amazing how prophetic his words were? This is a wonderful look at the Pledge of Allegiance.

How serious is your faith? How serious are you about what God says in His Word? It is imperative that we know what the Bible says and be assured that it is correct. If the Bible is true (and it is) then we must be strong and secure in our convictions about it. Here is a story from MSNBC about how Americans feel about their religious beliefs.

Rapidan Closing Program

June 23rd, 2008 by Pastor | No Comments | Filed in Children's Ministry, Family Life, video

Below is a video clip of the closing program at Camp Rapidan last week. The campers were divided into two teams, the Crusaders & the Raiders. The team with the most points at the end of camp won, and their opponents’ castle would be destroyed. It is hard to hear the speaker for the fun screams of the campers, but this will give you an idea of the fun the kids had.

We showed this video in the Sunday night Service on 6-22. Below you can find a pdf version of the presentation of the camp pictures.
